Shorty Produkshins: Lupa AKA DiZe

Who is this "DiZe" rolling out of Shorty Produkshins? Well, as you know, Shorty Produkshins is custom to working with Dirty South artists. But, DiZe just so happens to be on the newest artists under the Shorty Produkshins Reconquista Norte. Hence, he is the one who is currently bringing the east coast vibe to this Dirty South Label.

Coming out of Beltzhoover, PA (a section of Pittsburgh reffered to as "Da Hoov"), DiZe returns the east coast sound that Shorty Produkshins once started with and puts a whole new feel to it. This feel is called "The Pittsburgh Sound" that you may have heard with Pittsburgh based recording artists, Crave and Wiz Khalifa. Oh yeah, a lil known fact.... RZA from Wu Tang just so happens to be a Pittsburgh native, himself. Now that you know what you are working with, let's get to know DiZe a little more.

DiZe, primarily known as Channing "Lupa" Loftion has a true story to tell. In his album "In the Presence of the Enemy," you find out the reason he's wearing a beautiful, government designed ankle bracelet. For this reason and the feel you get from listening to this album, Shorty P (upon meeting Lupa in November 2006) made sure this album was to be released. He told her over and over again, "This is the old me. Lupa's Evil Twin.... DiZe." He agrees he never wanted to be a rapper. This was the only medium he could use to clear his name without being labeled another snitch in "Snitchburgh."

In defense of his shelving of the album, Shorty P (CEO of Shorty Produkshins) states, "I felt regardless, whether or not he wanted to put this album out, it needed to hit the streets. It is by far one of the craziest stories I have heard. Lupa is also some of the best talent IN Pittsburgh. If he explodes worldwide, that would be great. I don't know if that will happen, but I am convinced that he we be greatly known in the Pittsburgh Area. Even if we make him a local legend, I know he deserves it. This boy has way too much talent. I, originally, signed him because he has some too-hot-it's-burnt-through-the-oven-rack beats, that are for sale mind you. And, this boy.... dang... just go to one of his live performances. You will see what I mean. He encorporated drum tecniques in with his acoustic guitar show! Hahaha, this boy is crazy. He stole the guitar from some dude, and taught himself how to play very freakin' good in less than six months!!!" Unfortunately, due to the shady setup (and reason you need to cop this album) he will be on house arrest until August of 2008... We ARE working on getting him put on work release, though! In the meantime, stay tune for the release of this first album. Also look out for "The Krucifiction" on it's way!
